Ah. Investment in infrastructure is not a thing here, lol. Our power grid will run until the day that it just stops. No interruptions for maintenance, because what’s that? Luckily a lot of people here are generating all their power via solar now and are not even dependent on the grid.
Unless Sweden changed something recently, that probably isn’t /really/ possible in the same way, I imagine. In Sweden, if you have solar power, you need to “sell” the unused power back to the full power grid at a bargain, and then if you need the power later during e.g. winters, you need to buy it back at a high cost.
It’s weird, but the way it was set up meant, at least when I read about it a decade ago, that solar power among regular consumers weren’t easily adopted or by a lot.
Something like that, think it was what hindered my parents from investing too much into it so the solar panels that were installed power the water for the pool instead of going towards generating solar energy.
Solar fields are a popular alternative and wind power isn’t quite as effective the big thing is far as I know water generated energy with a shift away from Sweden’s earlier nuclear power plant energy.
Going by the notifications that come with the usual yearly raise in costs for this a lot is also sold and bought or traded with what looks like a constant increase in demand and consumption.
Power users.
Is there a benefit in that situation?
watch dogs is not launching with SK uplay version. Already disabled EAC but it`s stuck at splash screen
edit: nvm had to use global injection. Any recommended settings?
Make sure the game is running in DX11 mode. Not 12.
Stormzy the rapper / singer makes it into WDL with a epic mission and song video to boot. lol. Get his clothes too.
^ That video is embedded on the building while you fight of drones.
What really impressed me was the actual animation of Stormzy. I mean that was really advanced and dead on too.
Does anyone know of a reliable way to read the WindowsApps folder without messing up the permissions that the autistic Xbox app requires?
On a side note, the Xbox app games don’t even have a proper generic .exe, Microsoft is doing something that they believe is securing their shit, or that’s just how developers are required to build their games… Hmm.
Adding your own user as a owner does a little bit but the Trusted Installer and System ownerships and settings are fairly locked and the app system gets really problematic if anything is modified so you can get into the folders but the files and further changes beyond read permissions become very limited.
Going through the User and settings folder is how I tweaked Gears of War 5 but that’s UE4 so it being a standard UE4 ini file for settings helped.
Administrative permissions and then hooking the running window or Microsoft guidelines for getting the UWP/Win32 Windows Store Apps when they are running can help but for SpecialK I don’t think you get much from this and other utilities like Afterburner can be a bit hit & miss even going through the processes that the apps also go via like the application frame host one.
Newer methods also use some downloaded cache file in addition to the unpacked data all with this security and encryption even if the package is Win32 so that can take a ton of space with no easy or “cleaner” way of clearing up some of this besides some of the OS scheduled cleanup tasks and processes that eventually take care of stuff.
Still several little issues with how it works and all it requires and how much that if changed risks breaking it even after several major updates and changes and upcoming additions and it’s a problematic system to work with without risking breaking something whether the store app, xbox sign-in app for account management or related apps for overlays or XBox type functionality.
EDIT: Could be other issues perhaps but the only real problem I had through the game was the lack of AF as a small annoyance due to texture filtering and lack thereof for the distant terrain texture detail.
Improving the shader optimization step is also going to be really useful having options for how to go about with that rather than a required longer phase during start up and then whenever the game shaders or the drivers or the OS is updated and this needs to be re-processed.
Digital Foundry video on SK
Wtf just noticed, i’m watching in a bit
I see Era has some interesting commentary, guessing the idea is to more thoroughly calibrate and configure the settings but this is a good video to get the functionality noticed and more discussed.
EDIT: Nothing on Meta Council yet it seems.
EDIT: Some of the YouTube comments are pretty spot on though for the hardware situation and PC HDR.
DF linked your Patreon, but not Special K itself. You may want to add the site link to your Patreon description @Kaldaien
Will be interesting to see how 0.11.1.0 does when it’s promoted to release status too for the newest changes and features for this and other improvements.
Perhaps eventually some beta opt-in through SKIF could take over these spread out attachments well once a new version is stable enough and less experimental I guess would be best for that.
EDIT: Particularly topics or rather this specific free topic it’d be hard to find some of these postings.
Notepad.
Use PSExec to run a Notepad instance in the interactive shell as NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM and then use the open/save dialogs to take a peek at the folder and files.
Edit:
psexec \\localhost notepad -s -i
Odd that he said frostbite games didnt work since Dragon Age and Mass Effect both worked for me.
Are you the promised child?
SK has a long-standing issue with Frostbite titles where weird stuff happens, such as widgets flashing on each key press and whatnot.
(Through Video Card Z and Era. - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti rumored to feature 10496 CUDA cores and 20GB GDDR6X memory Rumor | ResetEra )
NVIDIA sure is doing…something.
This model these models not these ones though and change this model.
Well they might have a response to the AMD 6000 series lineup if the late November 3060 Ti launch is correct and then this 3080 Ti Mark 2 whatever would now be the “I’m the fastest!” response to the 6900 ha ha!
(Well the 3090 could still hold that position this would just widen the gap just a wee bit more remains to be seen really how it all goes.)
Course if it ends up being a 3090 is kinda in a weird position now with a better price that’s not bad targeting ~1000 Euro or something instead perhaps.
So yeah the 3090 has 4 GB more but that’s not likely to matter too much and then this has all the others and might be super clocked up especially if there’s any truth to that TSMC 7nm+ rumor too and they’d get it on that for whenever this is happening.
(Well the memory bus width from 384 to 320 and matching that the 10/20 GB VRAM layout.)
Ampere Ti variant(s) were a given but it seems NVIDIA are still fiddling out all the fine details as to just how these will turn out but first up might be this 3060 Ti on what was it November 18th?
Possibly then a 3070 Ti maybe and whatever the 3080 Ti will turn into as this is finalized.
(Or a later 3070Ti also on TSMC 7nm+ holding to the current ones being held or kinda cancelled and then starting on this new node instead.)
EDIT: And tomorrow the reviews should be up for the AMD Zen3’s / Ryzen 5000’s
Just in time for street availability and for selling out which I very much will happen shortly after the retail time is met at 5 in the afternoon I think it was, heard stock isn’t the best either at least here but maybe that’s more for the 5900X enthusiast segment, hopefully.
Perhaps I am. The only widget I use is the HDR one. Also use a controller too. Maybe I should test more.
