Hi, just reporting a few issues as per this post https://steamcommunity.com/app/1466060/discussions/0/591772149598987466/ where running Special K causes the Steam version of the game to think it’s running via GOG and changes the save / config locations. It also breaks controller support and Steam achievements.
yeah so apparently that game uses a saves system that involves using the steam id to create the save file folder, but if steam’s drm fails somehow or something is done with the steam app id… then the game switches to a different folder for its saved files, which results in looking like your saves are gone… but they’re basically now in the folder that the gog version of the game would use…
apparently someone on steam (Lafy) who wasn’t using sk was also running into this issue (their saved files seemingly disappearing…)

so maybe the game devs at some point change this design they went with for their saved files…
anyway, in the case of sk, you could set [Steam.Log]Silent=true
in the specialk.ini config for the game to disable sk’s custom steam enhancements (sk uses the steam app id for certain steam api features… but you can stop sk from doing that if you want).

disabling sk’s custom steam enhancements may fix the saved files situation with that steam game for you while using sk (or you could get the gog version of the game…)
