Latest Special K test - Horizon Zero Dawn - only shows VRAM usage (no GPU usage/temp)

i9-9900k, RX 6900 XT, 16GBs RAM

I’m using the local install method. I can load and configure Special K just fine but it’s only displaying VRAM usage not GPU core usage/temp (those are just 0).

The GPU usage/temp did display properly with my previous Titan Xp GPU. I recently performed a full OS wipe and reload - same results.

Thanks for such an excellent tool! Awesome work!

Unfortunately, AMD GPU monitoring often has these problems. I have a 5700, and integrated AMD GPU in my laptop and monitoring works on them, so I know it works on modern AMD GPUs. I thought for a second that you might have NvAPI left on your system from the Titan Xp’s drivers, but the full reinstall seems to rule that out.

Could you paste your SpecialK logs for me to look at?

Any ideas? Do you need any other logs/tests done?

Just an update on the latest test version of Special K with my RX 6900 XT and Horizon Dawn. GPU core usage (both MHz and percent) still show as zero.

Yeah, I think something in Windows is confusing SK — I hit the same issue recently with my Nvidia and Intel PC — all of a sudden SK reported 0% on GPU usage and VRAM and I can only assume it was because it was reporting the Intel stuff. Don’t even remember changing anything between it working to it being broken.

Haven’t found a solution either (but I also haven’t actively tried since it’s not metrics I use regularly).

Can’t be the case on my end as I have the integrated graphics turned off in BIOS. Windows doesn’t even see it.
Any idea of when this may be working?

This isn’t something that’s actively being looked into, and right now Kaldaien is busy with initial D3D12 textures/shading support for Elden Ring, so do not expect it anytime soon at least.
