Installation of Special K

for some reason the global Injection has not services running. Probably cause i downloaded a different version then uninstalled and went back to this version?

Edited: I tried to download here in this page, the SpecialK.z and yup i was able to activate services and run Torch Light II, but it promped an error: Curses Torch Light II has crashed;

there are some logs, but dunno whats the important one>

Just use the Download link at the top of the site, that’s the newest version and the only one you should bother with.

You’re missing options on that tab of SKIF because you either do not have a Servlet directory or are missing SpecialK32.dll / SpecialK64.dll. All of that is included in https://sk-data.special-k.info/SpecialK.7z

Also, I think that Torchlight has issues with Special K because the game uses CEGUI and so does Special K.

Edit SpecialK.ini and set EnableCEGUI=false

@CloudHaze, I noticed that apparently the forum flagged you for multiple links to prnt.sc. I’ve whitelisted that domain as well as imgur.com so you should be fine making use of LightShot links again.

Please tell me if you still run into some weird linking issues.

I’ve also gone ahead and whitelisted a few other domains that we can expect to be frequently linked (e.g. pastebin.com etc).

@Kaldaien I went to my documments, specialk>profiles>torch light II, edit .ini EnableCEGUI=false.
But game still crashed

Hey how to install SK to uplay games (Watch dogs 2), iv’e tried input in whitelist like this (i use SKIF) :
G:\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\WATCH_DOGS2\

But the game and .ini file dont show up in :
Documents\My Mods\SpecialK\Profiles

Any help appreciated thx

Strip the backslashes and almost all parts of the path out of the line. Just add either the name of the executable, or e.g. “WATCH_DOGS2“ and it should work.

Not working, the game still not shows up in profile folder.
Tried only input the exe name and folder name and no result

I’ve tried with borderland 3 (epic ver) and it immediately creates the borderland 3 folder in profile folder.
Only watch dog 2 that doesnt work.

It might be Easy Anti-Cheat that prevents Special K from being injected. See

Yeah i think EAC is the problem, cuz it prevents me entering the game with dxgi.dll file exist

I just installed the latest SK version then I followed the instructions and got the global injector to run.

I was wondering if I had to do something specific for Monster Hunter World since all i get is this when i run the game with SK:

Without SK, it runs normally.
New to SK too, so I am not sure if I’m doing it correctly at all :3

are you running game in DX11 mode.

Your monster hunter world must be running in dx12.
Change it to dx11 and try again.

Ah, i made sure to turn off dx12 mode in the in-game settings and the problem still exists. Should i be posting any logs on here? I do have Reshade installed, is that a problem?

1st - remove reshade dll to exclude that possibility for crashes before going all in.

2nd - There are some steps to make reshade play nice with SpecialK. Look at the tutorials page at the top for help.

There’s no particular reason why it shouldn’t be. Have you added the game to the whitelist of Special K, or tried installing Special K’s DLL file locally for the game you’re trying it with?

There are a few games that don’t get detected by Special K’s global injection, usually games that have a launcher. Is there a way to manually install Special K to a game, apart from pressing CTRL + Shift while launching and pressing the button to install locally?
