FF XV wont launch with SpecialK

Local install, latest stable version from this site as of time of this post. It also wouldnt launch with the existing version I had that worked back in 2018.

I disabled DEP/CFG for the game executable with no effect. ansel is off, no RTSS etc.

Those logs aren’t that helpful. I’d include SpecialK.log or use the latest nightly build instead.

ff15 works with sk 24.1.12 (and other versions too) – I just tested

however, for local sk injection with this game, UseFlipDiscard=false should be set in the dxgi.ini if playing in SDR (Windows HDR off) in order to prevent the game from crashing/closing on launch.

also, in the case of this game, setting UseFlipDiscard=false still results in the game using flip model but it uses flip sequential instead of flip discard… which i believe is fine anyway.
